I take pride in recommending Shah Software since we have been associated with it since the earliest stages and even helped kick start the transportation management software suite. Over two decades ago, I met Mr. Shah, the owner, for lunch in Uvalde, Texas. It was over lunch that I suggested his company come up with a transportation management software system more suited for small and rural transit agencies. We approached Shah Software 2 weeks prior to launching our new on-demand service and within those two weeks, we were fully functioning and running the Microtransit app. After 2 short weeks, our customers can book their rides through the Shah Software app using their mobile device, and the requests go directly to the relevant driver on duty.
Adopting this software much sooner would have been nice. However, the quick turnaround by Shah has made our dream come true. When I hear about other transit systems spending three times as much time on their project and still not being operational after six months, I realize that we made a wise choice in choosing Shah Software as our dispatch software vendor.
