Colorado Valley Transit is one of the recipients of federal funds for running Microtransit in all 4 of our counties. We approached Shah Software 2 weeks prior to launching our new on-demand service and within those two weeks, we were fully functioning and running the Microtransit app with the customer booking features in English and in Spanish. One of the great advantages of working with a smaller company like Shah Software, was that we had direct access to the decision-makers. We never had to deal with a sales representative who was only focused on making a sale. Shah Software was concerned about our overall project and how to meet our technological needs within our transportation system. After 2 short weeks, our customers can book their rides through the Shah Software app using their mobile device, and the requests go directly to the relevant driver on duty. This frees our dispatch staff from the task of having to assign the reservations to the drivers. When clients book their own trips, this also minimizes the amount of phone calls coming into the office for making reservations. Adopting this software much sooner would have been nice. However, the quick turnaround by Shah has made our dream come true. When I hear about other transit systems spending three times as much time on their project and still not being operational after six months, I realize that we made a wise choice in choosing Shah Software as our dispatch software vendor. We recommend Shah Software with high esteem.

I take pride in recommending Shah Software since we have been associated with it since the earliest stages and even helped kick start the transportation management software suite. Over two decades ago, I met Mr. Shah, the owner, for lunch in Uvalde, Texas.  It was over lunch that I suggested his company come up with a transportation management software system more suited for small and rural transit agencies. Public Transit Services has been a long-standing customer of Shah Software with a 25 plus year relationship with Mr. Shah and his staff. During this time, our agency has witnessed the continued development of cutting-edge Dispatch/Scheduling Transportation Software Technologies.In January 2021, Public Transit Services purchased the Electronic Fare Collection Program to accommodate our clients. The Farecard integration has considerably improved fare reconciliation, client boarding, scheduling, and reporting. Our customers are more than pleased with the debit farecard option and continue to use it to this day. The program is user friendly and resulted in minimal training for our staff.
